Acknowledging the diverse user base and our commitment to inclusivity, we are thrilled to announce the integration of CMS 508 accessibility capability into Prolaborate.

This transformative feature aims to bridge the accessibility gap, ensuring that users of all abilities can experience the full potential of our product.

Why Accessibility Matters?

Accessibility is not just a feature; it’s a fundamental aspect of user experience. Inclusivity is at the core of our mission, and by prioritizing accessibility, we are making Prolaborate a platform that everyone can use and benefit from, including users with disabilities. The introduction of CMS 508 compliance aligns with our commitment to creating a more inclusive digital environment.

Narrator Capability in Prolaborate: Getting Started

To start using Narrator in Prolaborate, you need to follow these steps:

  1. Activate Narrator on Your Computer: Before using Narrator in Prolaborate, ensure that Narrator is active on your computer. To activate Narrator, press the key combinationCtrl + Windows + Enter.
  2. Initiate Narrator: Once Narrator is active, it will begin reading the contents displayed on your screen.
  3. Turn Off Scan: To obtain better control, disable the scan in Narrator (by default scan will be enabled). To do so, use Ctrl + Space on your keyboard.

Note:

  • By default, the narrator is enabled with a scan that conveys independently, which may result in providing invalid data. To enhance narrator performance and align better with what we developed for Prolaborate’s accessibility, we need to disable the scan to obtain better control over it.
