APM Based Report 9: Application Lifecycle Road map
Note:
- Know how to define a Lifecycle Roadmap (refer help page)
Configuration used by the above widget:
These are the tags (only date format tags) which are used in the Lifecycle configuration page.
Choose the Modeling Language as APM and select Stereotype as APM_Application. For the properties Mapping. select the Tagged Values as same name as Lifecycle Status.
We have now completed the lifecycle configuration page. Now let’s move on to the designer configuration page of the lifecycle that we are working on. Follow the image below and click next.
In your browser, navigate to the Application Portfolio Management section and click on “Application Layer.” From there, select the “Application Inventory” package. choose to specify a stereotype, setting it to “APM_Application”.
Add the Rich text editor on the same widget by clicking plus icon on top of the widget as shown in the image.
Add Title
Create the Rich text editor as shown in the image below and align to the top of the widget.
Click the ‘save’ button after the configuration and click ‘save’ again for the Dashboard results.
APM Based Report 10: Build a TIME (Tolerate, Invest, Migrate, Eliminate) Analysis chart for Applications

Configuration used by the above widget:
Bubble chart configured Using the designer configuration as shown in the image below
In your browser, navigate to the Application Portfolio Management section and click on “Application Layer.” From there, select the “Application Inventory” package. choose to specify type as Component and specify a stereotype, setting it to “APM_Application.” Now, apply an X-Axis by property using the “Tagged Value” and “Function Fit” criteria and Y-Axis by property using the “Tagged Value” and “Technical Fit” criteria. To present the Bubble results’ Size, choose the “Sum” calculation method, which is determined by the Tagged Values, with a specific emphasis on the Business value.
Set Custom Styles
Click next for the Customize card page from here. The “Use default color from Color Palette Configuration” is disabled. And choose the customized color palette as shown. For more information regarding color palette (refer help page) and hide the Legend as shown in the image below.
Clicking the save button will lead you to the widget configuration. The widget title and the widget color can be edited from here.
Once customization is completed click the save button for the Dashboard results.
APM Based Report 11: Applications Inventory Report

Configuration used by the above widget:
Report widget is configured using the designer configuration as shown in the image below
In your browser, navigate to the Application Portfolio Management section and click on “Application Layer.” From there, select the “Application Inventory” package. choose to specify type as Component and specify a stereotype, setting it to “APM_Application.”
Clicking ‘save’ will show the widget configuration. Align the widget accordingly and click the ‘save’ button for the Dashboard results.
APM Based Report 12: Holistic View of Enterprise Applications classified based on Domains
Note:

Configuration used by the above widget:
Landscape chart is configured using the designer configuration with addition of three groups as shown in the images below.
In your browser, navigate to the Application Portfolio Management section and click on “Application Layer.” From there, select the “Domain” package. choose to specify type as Class and specify a stereotype, setting it to “APM_ApplicationDomain.” for displaying Display Label results, select Basic Properties as Name.
Click the Add Group 2 button after the configurations and configure as shown in the image below
Select the connector direction as “Target to Source.” Then, opt for the connector Type and connector Stereotype, specifying them as “Aggregation” and “PartOf” respectively. Apply a filter to narrow down the Type and Stereotype to “Class” and “APM_ApplicationSubDomain.” Lastly, configure the Label to display the “name” using basic properties.
Add Group 3 and configure and click next.
Select the connector direction as “Target to Source.” Then, opt for the connector Type and connector Stereotype, specifying them as “Aggregation” and “PartOf” respectively. Apply a filter to narrow down the Type and Stereotype to “Component” and “APM_Application.” Select the Color-code block based on as “Tagged value” with “Application Type”. Lastly, configure the Label to display the “name” using basic properties.
This will generate a query for the Landscape chart automatically.
Set Custom Styles
The next step is to customize the chart page of Landscape chart as shown in the images below.
Click the ‘save’ button after the customization to get the widget configuration. From that, align the widget accordingly and click ‘save’ button again for the results.
APM Based Report 13: Total Cost of Applications Ownership based on different attributes of an application
Note:
- Know how to define a column chart widget (refer help page)
Configuration used by the widget:
Configure the widget as shown in the image below
In your browser, navigate to the Application Portfolio Management section and click on “Application Layer.” From there, select the “Application Inventory” package. choose to specify a stereotype, setting it to “APM_Application.” Now, apply an X-Axis by property using the “Tagged Value” with “Data Classification” criteria and Y-Axis is selected as a Sum by property using the “Tagged Value” with “Total Cost of ownership” criteria.
From here clicking the next button will generate a query automatically.
Set Custom Styles
Click ‘next’ to get customize chart widget page and configure as the following images
Click ‘save’ after the customization and you will get into widget configuration page. Now give the title as shown in the image from here.
Add rich text using the add icon at the top of the column’s chart widget as the image shown below,
To access the rich text as shown in the image, click the “Save” button. , Follow this by proceeding to click the “Save” button again to obtain the results for the column chart widget.
APM Based Report 14: Segment Enterprise Applications based on various metrics
Note:

Configuration used by the widget:
Configure the widget using designer configuration as image shown below
In your browser, navigate to the Application Portfolio Management section and click on “Application Layer.” From there, select the “Application Inventory” package. choose to specify a stereotype, setting it to “APM_Application.” Finally, for building chart based on the Tagged Values, specifically focusing on the Application Type.
Clicking the next button will generate a query automatically.
Then click next and click the save button from the customize chart widget to get into widget configuration
From here assign the title of the widget as shown in the image below
click the save button for the pie- chart widget results.
