Integration Icons Support for External Artifacts

Prolaborate captures the integration properties and recognizes artifacts created or imported from external applications such as Jama, Jira, Azure DevOps, Polarion, ServiceNow, etc., integrated through the Pro Cloud Server.

The artifacts are identified in Prolaborate based on the properties ‘Custom Integration Source’ and ‘External Link.’ A new group, ‘PCS Integration,’ will be displayed in the properties window and overview page for the artifacts that have been created or imported from the external applications. An external link to the applications will be displayed along with the application icon based on the value in the property ‘Custom Integration Source.’

Prerequisites

1. Prolaborate version should be 5.4.0 and above.
2. Artifacts should be imported or created from external applications through the Pro Cloud Server.
3. The imported artifacts should have the properties ‘External Link’ and ‘Custom Integration Source.’

Users can view the icons that denote the artifacts created or imported from external applications in the following places.

Icons as overlays in a diagram

Icons are displayed as overlays in a diagram where the artifacts created or imported from external applications are present.

To display the overlays in a diagram, set the toggle of Integrated Apps to Active in Prolaborate General Settings. To learn more on how to enable overlays, click here.

Artifact’s Overview Page

Open the overview page of the artifacts directly from the repository browser. A new group PCS Integration will be displayed automatically with the link to the respective external application if the prerequisites are met.

Note:

• The property name ‘External Link’ will be displayed as the respective external application name based on the value in the property ‘Custom Integration Source’. For example, if the ‘Custom Integration Source’ is ‘Jama’, then the property ‘External Link’ will be displayed as ‘Jama Link’.
• It helps users to quickly know from which external application the artifacts are created or imported from.

Artifact’s Properties Window

Open the artifact’s properties window from a report. A new group PCS Integration will be displayed automatically with the link to the respective external application if the prerequisites are met.

Artifact’s References Window

The link will also be displayed as PCS Integration in the artifact’s reference section.

When will the Integration Icons appear in Prolaborate?

The integration icon will be displayed for an imported artifact only when it has properties ‘External Link’ and ‘Custom Integration Source’ after enabling the Integrated Apps overlays in General Settings.
