Other Useful Features in Report & Chart
Overview
Prolaborate provides advanced reporting and charting capabilities, allowing users to download, search, and filter data while optimizing performance using cached data.
This guide explores key features that enhance data exchange, filtering, and performance within Reports & Charts.
Exchange Model Information via Excel
Prolaborate enables users to download dynamic reports generated from Enterprise Architect (EA) models as Excel files for offline analysis.
Excel download is available from Prolaborate V4.5.0 onwards, replacing the CSV download introduced in V4.4.1.
From Prolaborate V5.5.0, users can download entire reports and charts, regardless of pagination, for both Designer and Query configurations.
Things to note for users using version 5.4.0 and below:
- Limitations with Reports/Charts created using Designer Configuration: User can download the records based on the number of rows in the page and one can set a maximum of 100 rows to download for charts and reports that are created using designer configuration (An alternate approach to fetch data instead of writing queries)
- Limitations of Reports/Charts Created Using Query Configuration (‘MDG Based Report’ set to ‘On’): Reports and charts generated with query configuration with setting ‘MDG Based Report’ set to ‘On.’ In this configuration, users can download records based on the number of rows per page, with a maximum of 100 rows available for download for both charts and reports.
- How to download complete report? There are no limitations for reports/charts created using Query Configuration (‘MDG Based Report’ set to ‘Off’): Users can download the entire record irrespective of the number of record counts on the page for charts and reports created using query configuration with the setting ‘MDG Based Report’ set to ‘Off’.
