Choosing a default language
Overview
After installation, administrators can change the default language (English) to their preferred language from the language settings. As of Prolaborate 5.5, the application user interface is available in the following languages:
Prolaborate Version | Languages Available |
---|---|
5.3 | Arabic, Dutch, French, English |
5.5 | Spanish, German |
How Can Users Select Their Own Application Language?
Starting from Prolaborate 5.5, individual users can override the globally set language and choose their preferred interface language.
To change your personal language settings, click on your profile icon in the top-right corner and select the option Change Language.

Choose the preferred language from the list and click on Save.

The application interface will now appear in your selected language.
Note:
- If a user manually selects a language, changes to the global language setting will not override their selection. The chosen language remains active until the user updates it.
How to Change the Application Language Globally?
Open the Prolaborate Management application located in the installation folder (C:\Program Files\Prolaborate\ProlaborateManagement) and Click ‘Run as administrator’.

Click on Manage Configuration. Under the WebApp section, locate the newly introduced ‘Application Language’ option.

Select the preferred language from the available options and click Save to confirm the changes.

Restart all Prolaborate services for the changes to take effect.
Once completed, the interface will be displayed in the selected language for all users, except those who have individually set a different language in their profile.
