View Enterprise Architect Model Properties

An Enterprise Architect model consists of artifacts such as packages, diagrams, and elements. With Prolaborate, the user can view, edit, share and collaborate on these EA artifacts.

Overview

When you click on an EA model, diagram, or package from a repository browser, the overview page opens up. Overview page furnishes information, collaboration, and features set which can be carried out in any EA model, view, or package which is chosen from the repository browser.

The overview page displays information such as Basic Attributes, Usage, Traceability, Children, Tagged values, etc about an EA model, view, or package which is chosen from the repository browser.

It shows collaboration activities such as review and discussion which happens on the EA model, view, or package which is chosen.

It contains features sets such as properties, discussion, Traceability, Usage and share which can be carried out in any artifacts, view, or package which is chosen from the repository browser.

Below is the screenshot of an overview page that shows the information, collaboration, and features set of an element.

When you click on Properties or Gear Icon you can view the properties window tab of an artifacts such as for the view, package, diagram, and element whichever has been chosen.

View Basic Properties

You can view the Properties like Author, Alias, Created, Modified date, etc of a selected package, element, diagram, etc.

When you click on the Properties or Gear icon, the properties window tab will open and by default, the Properties will be chosen in the drop-down box and the properties details will be displayed of an element, diagram, etc.

View Discussions

Click on the Properties or Gear icon, and then click on Discussions on the property windows tab dropdown to see if there are any discussions on the package, element, etc or click on the Discuss button on the overview page to initiate discussion or to view if there are any previous discussion

View Usage

Usage lists of all the diagrams in which an Element and package is being used.

Click on the Properties or Gear icon, and then click on Usage on the property windows tab dropdown to see all the list of diagrams in which a Element and package is being used.

View Traceability

You can view the way an element is connected to other elements using traceability

Click on the Properties or Gear icon, and then click on Traceability on the property window tab to see the relationship or connector of the package with other elements and packages.

View Attributes

This tab shows all the attributes which are parameter of an element (such as Class). You will be able to edit the attributes only when you have access permissions.

View Operations

This tab shows all the operations which are behaviour of an element (such as Class). You will be able to edit the attributes only when you have access permissions.

View References

In the Reference Tab, Users can view and download any documents or pictures that are linked to an element as a linked document from EA. The references can list linked artifacts from integrations such as Jira & Confluence.

Share Artifacts

This feature enables you to share EA Artifacts such as Packages, Diagrams, and Elements from Prolaborate using a Private link, Public link, and Embed Link.

Private Link:

When you share elements, diagrams , packages, etc using a Private link the user can view the models, packages, etc only after signing into Prolaborate. On signing with Prolaborate credentials the user will directly land on the models, package for which the link is shared and he can further collaborate with the shared model or package.

Public Link:

When you share models, packages, etc using a Public link the user can view the models, package, etc without even any credentials, however, he cannot collaborate with the shared model or package.

Embed Link:

The embed link can be used to embed the EA element in a Web portal.
