Augment Stakeholders experience using Glossary Report
A glossary is an organized collection of terms and their definitions, often specific to a particular domain, project, or industry. It ensures that everyone involved in a project or organization uses the same language, reducing misunderstandings and promoting clear communication. It plays a crucial role in architectural design. The terms and definitions captured in Sparx Enterprise Architect can be published as a report in Prolaborate. Now, let us see how to build and publish such a report.
Create a Glossary report
The glossary information can be displayed as a list in the dashboard with the help of the SQL query report from Reports Configuration. Click here to download the predefined report.
After downloading, import the report in Prolaborate. Click here to learn more about importing a report.
To create a Glossary report widget in a dashboard or widgets library, select the widget type Reports and click on Add Widget. To learn more about creating a report widget, click here.
Choose the imported report that was downloaded earlier and click on Use Report.
The query defined in the selected report will be displayed. To display the data in the final report, disable the toggle MDG Based Report.
Click on Save to save the report. After saving, open the respective dashboard or the widget in the widgets library to view the glossary report.
Alternate way to create a report
Users can also write their own SQL query and create a report if required. To do this, select the widget type Reports and click the Skip to Query button at the bottom to write a custom SQL query.
In the Query field, enter the SQL query using the required syntax. The toggle MDG Based Report must be disabled to display the data in the final report.
