Where are the cloud servers located?
The location of cloud servers is chosen based on the client’s location or preference. We currently have cloud servers hosted in Australia, Asia, Europe, UK, USA and Canada.
How many days will it take to set up the cloud?
The cloud will be setup within 5 days from the date of the purchase order.
Which cloud vendor is used to host the servers?
We normally use Amazon Web Services. But, if you want us to host on Azure, we can do that as well.
What are your responsibilities?

Simply put, you have to just take care of EA desktop app. But, if you want a complete SaaS solution, it is available as well.

- AWS SLA applicable for Application Server
- Cloud Service Provider’s SLA applicable as per EULA
- Service duration – 12 months
- Prolaborate and Pro Cloud Server licenses as mentioned in the quote or proposal
What do you mean when you say “Infrastructure optimized to handle 10 concurrent modelers”?
When we commission the hardware in cloud, we do it based on our performance benchmarks. The Regular Cloud edition will provide an optimal performance when not more than 10 modelers are modeling at any point in time.
If you expect more than 10 modelers to access cloud concurrently most of the time, we can commission powerful hardware at additional costs.
What is Security Optimized cloud option?
The Security Optimized option provides you enhanced security and additional services on top of the stringent security measures in place.
You will get the following on top of the general inclusions mentioned above:

What is Web PCS?
This is the web-based interface of Pro Cloud Server(PCS) that lets you manage floating licenses and configurations easily.
Earlier, there was a constant dependency on cloud team to get information on PCS and manage licenses. Now, you can do it easily by visiting an URL from your browser.
Can the current EA licenses be reused after moving to cloud?

How to migrate local repositories to Cloud?
You can do a project transfer using native XML option (Learn more here) or avail migration services from us.
Model migration up to 5 repositories are included in the Security-optimized option by default.
Can I get an annual subscription?
Cloud subscriptions are always availed on an annual basis.
What would be the price for renewals?
There is a high probability for the price to be revised every 2-3 years by 10%. Multi-year contracts are available if you wish to get the cloud at current price for many years.
How is the data shared once the cloud service ends?
We can share the EA models as EA project (eapx) files or SQL dumps as per your requirements.
