The server could not be contacted

This message shows up when the AD server is not able to connect to Prolaborate.

Please check whether

  1. The server name and port are correct
  2. You are able to make a connection from the AD server or cloud to the application server hosting Prolaborate

The LDAP server is unavailable

This message shows up when the AD server is not able to connect to Prolaborate.

Please check the following details

  1. The server name and port are correct
  2. You are able to make a connection from the AD server or cloud to the application server hosting Prolaborate
  3. Proper domain or sub-domain is added here. Global domain names should not be used.
  4. Enter the User name and Password used to login to the AD server (The user should have the permissions to access and retrieve AD objects)

The following option should be disabled

  • Password never expires

The user name or password is incorrect

‘SQL Server Authentication’ mode is preferred. Active Directory logins are not supported.

For AD credentials on the server-side, please follow the below instructions to resolve the issue

  1. Reset the password of the user TWICE that is used to configure AD settings in Prolaborate. If we reset the password just once, the password is not getting reset properly
  2. Wait for an hour
  3. Logout and login into the Prolaborate
  4. Go to Active directory settings – click on the Edit button and re-enter the latest credentials (AD server’s credentials) and click the Test and Save option and check whether the configurations are saved properly.
  5. Logout from Prolaborate user
  6. Try to login using AD user which is already added into Prolaborate
